Steve Rabalais is an attorney with broad experience in a variety of cases including trucking and auto cases, premises liability, insurance coverage, oil and gas, construction, product liability, and general casualty cases; as well as commercial matters involving business formation, oil and gas operations, and contractual disputes. Steve has earned the “AV-Preeminent” and “Gold Client Champion” ratings from Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Rabalais was born on October 10, 1960. He received a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1982 (summa cum laude), and his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1985, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He is admitted to practice in all of the various civil and appellate courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana.

His legal memberships include the Lafayette Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations. He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He has been a guest speaker at both the American Bar Association “Transportation Mega conference” as well as the Louisiana Motor Transport Association Annual Meeting.

Steve Rabalais brings nearly 40 years of litigation experience, as well as his positive personal relationships with the litigation bar throughout Louisiana, to provide an effective option for your next mediation. He is a mediator with Perry Dampf Dispute Solutions, having established his mediation practice in 2009. Mr. Rabalais has conducted more than 150 mediations and in 2011, he received his formal mediation training at the University of Texas School of Law’s Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution and at the Attorney-Mediator Institute in San Antonio.
