Doug Wimberly

Doug Wimberly is Of Counsel to the Firm and practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury defense, insurance law, and local government law. He has been a practicing civil litigation attorney for 33 years and was a founding partner of the law firm of Cloyd, Wimberly, and Villemarette.

Doug is a lifelong resident of Church Point, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1979 and worked for Marathon Oil Company until 1986. He received his Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center in 1990, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He received his MBA from the University of Louisiana (UL) in 1991. He is licensed and admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, including the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Doug is an avid New Orleans Saints, LSU, and Houston Astros fan. Doug is an ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church, and enjoys spending time with his four grandsons on the “Cajun Prairie.”
